2 Years with You (Video Diary)

Today my son turned 2 and we celebrated it indoors (just the 3 of us) due to Covid-19. It was definitely something I never dreamed would ever happen but I know it was for the best and the safest thing to do for my whole family. It may not have been how we had planned for it (it was meant to be a fun day at a park with the whole family and tons of friends) but we 100% made the most of it. Nathan is only 2 so of course he’s completely clueless on what’s going on. Fortunately, all he wants is tons of love, food (boy loves to EAT), and to play with his dinosaurs and luckily he has everything he could possibly ever need. It’s the little things that matter most, motherhood has definitely taught me that.

I have found that finding things that are easy to throw on, easy to grab (for the baby) make the nonstop life of a mom a whole lot easier. The concept sounds easy when you say it out loud but these things come to you with time and LOTS of practice.

For me, it’s important to look put together when I step out of the house. It just makes me feel good and happy. It may sound kind of silly to some but when your life is a series of having back to back’s and you barely have time for yourself, it kind of helps set the tone for that specific day for you to tackle it head on.

Same goes to having a good stroller for the babe. We were lucky to be gifted this stroller so we currently have two! The one we purchased is the Bugaboo Cameleon 3, in which we love but the Stellar is bigger and has a better bottom compartment for all the things the baby needs. They’re also great quality, have cool accessories, and can even be customizable. Love it. I’ve always been a Bugaboo lover so choosing one when we were stroller shopping was a no brainer.

My Son, My Family, My World

April 1st of 2018 will no doubt be the best day of my life. The day my son, my whole world was born. Just typing those words gives me goosebumps. I mean, I’m a MOM. Wow. He has brought so much joy and so so so much love into our lives. He turned 10 months old today and all I want to do is slow down time. Every parent I know says the same thing and it’s because even though the first couple of months are extremely trying and there’s always something to be worried about or always something to do in between everything else. You just want those tiny moments with them to last forever. There’s a quote that I read while Nathan was just a few weeks old that hit me hard and I most definitely bawled my eyes out (still do). It goes like this “The Nights are so very long. But the years, are so very short“.

I’m forever changed because of my son, in the best way possible. Now to plan my little ones 1st birthday!
